Testimonials
I began taking drum lessons from Brian at a local music school in Kirkwood and followed Brian to DrumLessons.STL when he launched his own space in West County. I couldn’t be happier with the lessons. Brian is wealth of experience, he’s patient and has a way of clearly articulating ways to improve.
— Molly F., Fenton, MO.
“Our son Kyle studied with Brian from age 8 to his Sophomore year of High School. Brian’s method and encouragement gave Kyle the tools needed to play with the adult band at church and set him up for success in school band. Kyle auditioned and became the drum line captain as a sophomore and performed with the jazz band all 4 years. Highly recommend!”
— Steve, S. Austin, TX.
“I came to Brian as young professional drummer wanting to expand my skills with the brushes. (Brian) He introduced me to several (new to me) concepts which really helped my brush playing. Thanks Brian!!”
— Johnny V, Austin, TX.
“Danny studied with Brian all through middle and high school. He had great success with Brian and continues to play for fun around Austin with his college friends. Brian is a great teacher!”

The teaching studio
The space at DrumLessonsSTL.com is setup with the student’s success in mind. The studio is fully equipped to handle any needs that the student’s journey may present:
DrumLessonsSTL uses 2 high quality Dixon acoustic drum kits, set up side by side in order for the student to have a clear view of the teacher. The kits are equipped with “real” Remo drumheads and Paiste cymbals.
Practice pad station with 2 Pro-Logix pads and a mirror for self evaluation. Ideal for hand development and marching band exercises.
Digital piano used to help build harmonic and melodic knowledge. Music, not just drums.
Full digital recording capabilities. It’s often helpful to have the student hear themselves in play back for analysis.
A full library of drum method books and a large video screen for additional study.
